Derek was part of our project team that completed a major upgrade of high speed manufacturing equipment. The equipment was completely rebuilt mechanically and electrically. An entirely new PLC based controls architecture was implemented. Derek was the complete package. He worked directly with panel builders, electrical installation personnel, and PLC designers.
He monitored field installations to insure compliance with NEC and led start-up and troubleshooting efforts. As the customer requirements changed, Derek wrote the needed PLC code. It was a tremendous cost and schedule advantage to have a highly skilled electrical engineer that could move seamlessly from the field installation to the start-up and debug phases of the project.
